Always a Bestman, Never a Groom

I wonder what the Guinness Book of Records states as the most number of times one person has been a best man in a wedding. I just did a quick count in my head. I have been invited to 16 weddings in my life. In only three of these 16, I was a regular guest. For 5 of them I was an usher/groomsen, 3 a videographer and 5 times a best man. My 5th best man experience just ended hours ago. Does this bother me? Not really. My only regret is the tux rental. Oh the money I could have saved if I was allowed to wear the same tux for all those weddings.
Now for the big question. At 34 years old, why am I not married? I just haven't found Ms. Right. Someday I'm sure I will. Every time I'm standing up at the alter with the groom I put myself into his shoes. I wonder with anticipation how the bride will look. I wonder how nervous or excited he is. I see instant changes in the groom's persona one hour before start time. Some grooms, the most out-spoken ones, get really quiet and short of words. Others seem to go with the flow. I'm also shocked at the amount of tears coming from these guys. This last one especially. They must truly love their significant other. Then I wonder if I ever want to go through this.
I have had relationships in the past. One long one and the rest would maybe last 6-months or less. The long one, my high-school sweetheart, it was inevitable that it didn't last forever. We grow up and change. The Bryan I was in 2000 is no where near the Bryan I am today and the same applies to her. The other shorter length relationships had their usual quirks. Either I was cheated on, we just weren't clicking, distance can be a factor, even age. I have only dated younger or the same age as me, never older. Maybe that's the problem? I also take things very slow. I'm not like most men out there. I'm not one to rush things and this applies to everything I do in life. Maybe that's the problem too?
So here it goes. Single, white male seeking female to share this journey called life with me. We will travel, drink and eat the best food, laugh, fight, maybe run together? Ha! We will experience a fun, adventurous life. I have trouble staying relaxed, and always seem to be on-the-go. If I'm not running then I'll be found gardening, hiking/walking, or casual bike riding. I'm a morning person so be prepared for some early awakenings. I love to read. Writing this blog has been very addicting. I don't watch TV or movies like I used to but do enjoy it on a rainy or snowy day. Whatever those quirks... I am loyal, honest and a very hard worker. I am close to my parents (not a mama's boy, but close enough). There's so much more I could tell about myself but we can discuss over a cup of coffee.
I'll wait for my inbox to fill up now....
