Welcome to the Running Nerd

I know what you are thinking. "Here's another running blog added to an already saturated world of blogs about running." Well, maybe you are right. This is a blog about running but with some twists. I am a very positive, highly motivated, and upbeat individual. My passion is running, fitness and nutrition so I want to share all my experiences, goals and tips with you. However I do have other passions, goals, and experiences beyond running I feel I need to share with you as well. It's my way of giving back. Also, I ask myself this question a lot: Do people really know the real Bryan? I can be introverted most of the time and thankfully with today's technology (ie. this blog) I am able to open myself up to you. Sure I could use Facebook and Twitter, which I do after a good race, but blogs allow me to write longer, deeper stories about myself and my journies. I will write about my training, my travels, my routines, basically anything and everything on my mind.

So why put nerd in the title? As a person working in the I.T. field for roughly 10+ years, I am approached everyday with technology questions. Why is my computer doing this? Why is my iPad doing that? Can you bring my laptop back to life after I spilled coffee on it? I will write about technology, internet safety, podcasts and running gear as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions you wish. I will read all my feedback and reply as soon as possible. If I see a popular question, I will write about it on here.

What's my goal here? What do I want to get out of this blog? When I die (hopefully well into my 100s) I just hope that I was able to change someone's life for good. This blog is a good start. You'll be on my journey to Boston, the Canadian Death Race and all my travelling adventures. I will introduce live video (Periscope or Facebook live) and maybe start a podcast. I have a lot to talk about and a lot of knowledge to share. Writing can be very therapeutic so that helps me as well. Also, if I can motivate just one person in this world to get off that couch and change their life, I will die, at 101, a happy man. Enjoy!
